South Cariboo residents and travellers on Highway 97 will notice improvements to their roads this summer, as Dawson Construction gets to work on a major resurfacing contract awarded by the BC Ministry of Transportation and Transit.
Stretching 104.38 lane kilometres across the Southern Interior, the project includes full-width milling and paving of Highway 97 from Lovett Road to Doyle Road through Lac La Hache, along with overlay paving on side roads in the Lac La Hache, 150 Mile House, Big Lake, and Likely areas.
